Welman App Launched in Burkina Faso to Connect Skilled Workers with Customers

OUAGADOUGOU — In a significant move to boost local employment and service efficiency, Select Technologie introduced the ‘Welman’ application this Saturday in Burkina Faso. The app serves as a bridge between qualified workers and customers in need of immediate services across nearly 50 different domains including mechanics, IT, air conditioning, and construction.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the brain behind the initiative, the Welman app is designed to quickly address emergency breakdowns by linking users to nearby skilled technicians and troubleshooters. The platform, which prides itself on security and user safety, hosts approximately fifty professionals vetted through stringent criteria to ensure top-notch service delivery.

Mr. Yanogo highlighted the dual benefits of the app, noting its potential to provide ample job opportunities for young skilled workers and to enhance overall customer satisfaction through professional service. He emphasized the importance of professionalism and integrity among workers to foster durable business relationships and a loyal customer base.

Moreover, the platform allows users to access a wide range of services at no cost while offering various subscription models for service providers, aimed at maintaining the quality and reliability of the services offered. Welman, named after the Moore phrase ‘Wend la manegda’, is now available for download on the Playstore and seeks to expand its reach nationwide and internationally.

Aboubacar Ouédraogo, another key supporter of the project, expressed confidence in the platform’s success and encouraged the Burkinabè community to embrace this innovative solution to simplify their daily needs and drive socio-economic growth in the region.
