‘We Don’t Run Away. We Do Not Back Down, We Do Not Give Up,’ President Traoré

OUAGADOUGOU — The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, affirmed Thursday that he and his ministers did not flee the council of ministers room during a shooting incident on public television, as reported by “lying Western media.”

According to Burkina Information Agency, “It’s absolutely not the case. We are here. The incident happened while we were in the council of ministers. If people had fled, there would have been no press briefing after the council. We must not listen to these individuals who seek to distract people. We don’t run away. We don’t back down, we don’t give up. They said what they wanted. Everyone understood that they are the enemies of the nation,” said the President of Faso during a visit to RTB.
