Wavinya Calls for Unity in Support of Wiper Candidate in Mumbuni North

Machakos: Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti has urged residents to vote for the Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) MCA candidate Antony Kisoi in the November 27 by-election, terming the exercise as a defining moment for the Kamba community.

According to Kenya News Agency, Wavinya was speaking at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Machakos town on Sunday, where she told the congregation that although all aspirants were her people, the community's collective future required putting the Kamba community first by electing Antony Kisoi.

She appealed for unity among the electorates while also condemning political animosity between the different parties competing for the MCA seat as the by-election date draws near, noting that her administration is fully focused on improving the lives of residents. Governor Wavinya emphasized her commitment to continue working for the people of Machakos and urged residents to overcome political differences for the greater good.

Kisoi, who also spoke during the service, said that the campaign was bigger than his personal ambitions. He emphasized that the seat was not about him but about the Kamba community and Kenya in general, calling on residents to pray for him and vote in unity.

The Mumbuni North MCA contest has attracted significant attention as parties mobilize support across Mumbuni North in Machakos County ahead of the upcoming by-election scheduled for November 27, 2025, increasing the momentum.
