Passor©: The first edition of the "Foul©e du Passor©" walking competition, initiated by the High Commissioner of the Passor© province, Daouda Sangar©, was held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Yako. Participants received prizes totaling nearly half a million CFA francs.
According to Burkina Information Agency, as part of the promotion of sport for all, the High Commissioner of Passor©, Daouda Sangar©, organised the "La Foul©e du Passor©" sports walking competition. This edition featured four categories of walkers, comprising around thirty athletes, divided into two categories: 18-39 year olds and 40 and over. The most deserving were rewarded according to their performances, with prizes totaling nearly half a million CFA francs.
The event, sponsored by Dr. Fidel Nanema and placed under the sign of health, social cohesion, and living together, saw the participation of about thirty male and female athletes from the commune of Yako. Certificates of participation, medals, and financial envelopes ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 CFA francs were given to the winners.
According to the organizers, this initiative aims to promote health through sport, strengthen social cohesion and consolidate ties between the populations of Passor©. An ambition that, according to participants and observers, was fully achieved, given the excellent organization and strong turnout.
The organizers also expressed their gratitude to the event's patron, Dr. Fidel Nanema, as well as to all those who contributed to its success.
