WAFU-B U15 African School Football Championship Sees Burkina Faso Women Reach Final While Boys Fall Short

Ouagadougou: The women's Stallions of Burkina Faso have secured a spot in the final of the African School Football Championship (U15) organized by the Union of West African Federations of Zone B (UFOA-B). The team triumphed over Benin in a penalty shootout, winning 3-2 after a goalless draw in regulation time. Meanwhile, the Burkina Faso boys' team faced a narrow defeat against Benin, losing 0-1 in the semi-finals.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the other girls' semi-final saw Ghana overpower Ivory Coast with a 3-0 victory. In the boys' category, Ivory Coast emerged victorious against Niger, winning 4-3 on penalties after the match ended 0-0 in regulation time.

The finals are scheduled for December 4th at the Stade du 4 Aout, with the girls' final featuring Burkina Faso against Ghana. The boys' final will see Benin competing against Ivory Coast. Additionally, classification matches will occur in the morning, featuring Benin against Ivory Coast for the girls and Burkina Faso against Niger for the boys.

The championship will conclude with a closing ceremony at the August 4th Stadium, set to begin around 6 pm.
