Abidjan: The Burkina Faso U15 Stallions boys' team secured fourth place in the WAFU-B African School Football Championship following a penalty shootout defeat against Ivory Coast. The match, which ended in a 0-0 draw after 40 minutes of regular play, saw the Burkinabe team fall short in the penalty shootout with a score of 6-7.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkina Faso U15 team faced a challenging third-place match against Ivory Coast. Despite holding their opponents to a goalless draw during regular time, the team was unable to clinch victory in the subsequent penalty shootout.
In a separate development, the Stallions girls' team is set to play their final match against Ghana this afternoon, with kickoff scheduled for 3pm.
