Rundu: The Maria Mwengere Polling Station in the Rundu Rural Constituency has not experienced any challenges since it opened at 07h00, allowing for residents to cast their votes. This smooth operation has encouraged participation from local residents throughout the day.
According to Namibia Press Agency, presiding officer Toive Mukula stated in an interview that by midday, two ballot boxes had already been filled, and officials were working on the third as voting continued nationwide. The process appeared efficient, as no voters were seen waiting in queues when the agency visited the polling station at 15h00.
Meanwhile, at the Muroro Primary School polling station in the Mashare Constituency, 170 voters had been served by 16h00. Presiding officer Likoro Robert noted the turnout included numerous first-time voters and elderly residents, all eager to participate in the electoral process. Similar to Maria Mwengere, no queues were observed at this polling station upon the agency's arrival.
