Village of Kampoaga Contributes to Faso MEbo with Cement and Sand Donation

Tenkodogo: Tensoaba Yemde of Kampoaga, accompanied by a large delegation of young people from his village located about fifteen kilometers from Tenkodogo, donated four tons of cement and ten sand tricycles this Thursday to the presidential initiative Faso MEbo. The ceremony took place at the construction site in Tenkodogo, in the presence of local authorities.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the village chief of Kampoaga, Tensoaba Yemde, explained that this gesture was in response to the call made by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, inviting every Burkinab¨ to contribute, according to their means, to the beautification of cities and the development of the country. Yemde stated that the donation was on behalf of the people of Kampoaga as a response to the presidential call, emphasizing that the initiative is important for all regions, including provinces, communes, and villages.

The contribution, as described by Yemde, is not an isolated act, with Kampoaga villagers remaining willing to support the initiative whenever possible. The donation consisted of four tons of cement and ten tricycles of sand, valued at approximately 500,000 CFA francs, intended to support the ongoing work at the Faso MEbo site.

Sami Berenger Pooda, president of the special delegation of the Tenkodogo municipality, welcomed the contribution, noting its importance in meeting the construction needs at the site. He commended the gesture as a response to the President's call for national participation in city beautification.

Pooda expressed gratitude to Kampoaga and its chief for their community mobilization efforts and encouraged other villages and neighborhoods of the Tenkodogo commune to engage in similar acts of solidarity. He highlighted that the appeal for contributions since the launch of Faso MEbo has been well received across the commune, leading to satisfactory results, but emphasized the need for continued mobilization.

The village of Kampoaga's donation is part of numerous community initiatives since the launch of Faso MEbo in Tenkodogo, showing growing public acceptance of this participatory approach. Local authorities have reaffirmed that contributions remain open and have invited those of goodwill to continue supporting Faso MEbo actions.
