Nayala: The village of Biba celebrated the return of VDP Dozo Seydou Sow, known as "Ouattara Wngo," who was recently honored in Ouagadougou for his commitment to defending the nation. The event drew local authorities, defense and security forces, relatives, friends, and residents to acknowledge this national recognition.
According to Burkina Information Agency, VDP Seydou Sow was welcomed back from the capital in a setting filled with patriotic enthusiasm. Tibou Ki, speaking on behalf of the traditional chief, described the award as a prideful moment for Biba and encouraged the youth to emulate Sow's bravery. He also offered prayers for lasting peace in Burkina Faso.
Commissioner Yaba officially presented the trophy received in Ouagadougou, met with audience applause. Sow Seydou expressed gratitude to the Burkinabe authorities and the people of Biba, emphasizing that unity, symbolized by his name "Wngo" meaning "we are all one," is vital for reclaiming the national territory.
The event's godmother, comrade Fatou Sow, commended the daily sacrifices of the FDS, VDP, and Dozos, who contributed to the resettlement and security of Biba. She urged public support for the forces through prayer, civic vigilance, and information sharing.
Ki Pierre, representing the Dozos of Nayala, highlighted the Dozo commitment to courage, discipline, and terrain knowledge, thanking authorities for recognizing the fighters alongside the FDS.
