Vihiga county: Vihiga County gubernatorial hopeful, Indimuli Kahi, visited United Democratic Alliance (UDA) offices and called for stronger party structures and improved data management within the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) as the party prepares for upcoming ward elections.
According to Kenya News Agency, Kahi, after a courtesy call to the UDA Vihiga County Headquarters at Vohovole on Wednesday, stated that the visit aimed at familiarizing himself with office operations and reviewing progress made following the recently concluded grassroots elections.
Kahi reported that discussions during the visit focused on strengthening information dissemination, enhancing membership registration, reinforcing party structures at the grassroots, and assessing preparedness for the upcoming ward elections. He shared observations and gaps identified during the grassroots elections with the county secretariat and pledged to work closely with party leadership to address them and strengthen UDA's presence across Vihiga.
Kahi also emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate membership records and providing timely progress reports to enhance accountability and the growth of the party. He later interacted with the public at the offices, urging continued support for UDA and the leadership of President William Samoei Ruto.
The gubernatorial aspirant expressed gratitude for the support and encouragement received towards 'The New Way Forward' agenda and his bid for the Vihiga County gubernatorial seat next year. UDA officials at the county headquarters welcomed Kahi's visit, noting that engagements with party stakeholders are essential for consolidating the party's base ahead of the 2027 general elections.
