Vihiga Clergy Call for Country’s Unity Amid Political Tensions

Vihiga: A church in Vihiga county has warned politicians against reckless utterances, saying the ongoing trend will negatively divide the country. The African Divine Church (ADC) clergy also noted that if politicians are not careful with their utterances, the country could be plunged into turmoil.

According to Kenya News Agency, John Chabuga, a clergy at the church, pleaded with leaders while speaking at a church function at Mudete, Sabatia sub-county, Vihiga county. He said the country must remain peaceful and stable, warning leaders to prioritize development.

He reiterated that Orange Democratic Party leader Raila Odinga, working closely with President William Ruto, is for the unity of the country. "Some people are blaming the President for working closely with Raila Odinga, but the unity between the two is for the good of the country," he said.

Kenyans must realize that when there's stability, the economy of a country improves, noting this is what all Kenyans want.
