Vietnam Proposes $23 Billion Investment to Enhance Education

Hanoi: The Vietnamese government has put forward a proposal to allocate over 580 trillion Vietnamese dong, equivalent to approximately $23 billion, for the period from 2026 to 2035 to modernize and improve the quality of education.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the plan aims to standardize and overhaul the national education system. It seeks to expand access to learning opportunities and ensure fairness in education. The initiative sets specific goals to be achieved by 2030, such as upgrading infrastructure, supporting disadvantaged regions, and building boarding schools for students in remote areas.

Additionally, the government intends to invest in eight public universities to elevate their status, with a goal of having them rank among Asia's top 200 universities and at least one within the top 100.
