Dordabis: Deputy Minister of Education, Dino Ballotti, officially opened the Victoria Private School at Dordabis on Monday, urging the first batch of students to take their studies seriously. The school’s establishment was made possible by an investment of N.dollars 40 million from Russian investor Rashid Sardarov, who owns the Marula Game Ranch.
According to Namibia Press Agency,the school is designed to accommodate 200 learners from pre-primary to Grade 7 and includes hostel facilities for 120 learners. In alignment with its founding vision of uplifting the community, the school offers both tuition and hostel accommodation free of charge.
Ballotti encouraged students to approach their studies with diligence and enthusiasm and to appreciate the diverse viewpoints of their classmates. He emphasized the importance of developing not only intellect but also character and a sense of social responsibility. In his statement, Ballotti also reminded teachers of their crucial role in contributing to Namibia’s growth and urged them to commit themselves fully to their work.
The deputy minister expressed gratitude to supporters, community leaders, and educators for their roles in realizing the Victoria Private School project. The school is set to welcome its inaugural cohort of 80 learners at the start of the second semester in July.
