VDP and Dozo Ensure Clear Visibility on National Road No. 25 Through Pruning Efforts

Nahouri: The Volunteers for the Defense of the Party (VDP) and the Dozo of the communes of Ziou, Gombousgou, Zabr© and Zoaga, pruned, this Friday, August 15, 2025, the approaches to the national road 25 (Ziou-Zabr©), 22 km long. The Volunteers for the Defense of the Party (VDP) and the Dozo of the communes of Ziou, Gombousgou (Nazinon), Zabr© and Zoaga (Nakamb©), mobilized this Friday, August 15, 2025, to give good visibility to the 22 km long national road 25.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the commander of the Ziou gendarmerie, Chief Warrant Officer Franck Soihanla Yonli, noted that visibility in this section of the road connecting Ziou and Zabr© poses security threats to the population during this time of year. In response, the VDP and the Dozo, equipped with machetes, pruned the area to improve visibility, accompanied by victory songs celebrating the security forces’ efforts.

“This activity will allow users of this road to have very good visibility and traffic flow on the one hand and on the other hand create cohesion between local security initiatives,” stated the Ziou brigade commander. The efforts not only aim to enhance road safety but also to foster unity among local security groups.

VDP and Dozo leaders emphasized the importance of patriotism as encouraged by the country’s authorities. They believe that by maintaining the road’s edges, they can ensure safety and secure the area, previously known as a danger zone.

The successful pruning event concluded with satisfaction among participants, who have already scheduled a follow-up action for September 15, 2025, involving the same groups.
