Valarie Allman Clinches Women’s Discus Gold at Diamond League Final


BRUSSELS – Olympic champion Valarie Allman of the United States captured the gold medal in the women’s discus at the Wanda Diamond League Final, delivering a top throw that overshadowed her competitors in a dramatic showdown on Saturday.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the competition saw intense performances, particularly between Allman and Chinese athlete Feng Bin. Feng initially led with a throw of 67.08m after the second round, but Allman surpassed her with a 68.47m throw in the third round, securing the top spot. Feng concluded the event with a silver medal, marking a final throw of 67.49m. The event also highlighted other notable performances, including that of Mondo Duplantis in the pole vault and Matthew Denny in the men’s discus.
