Tashkent—China has evolved into a major global power over the past 75 years by overcoming significant historical challenges, according to Uzbek scholar Azamat Seitov.

According to Namibia Press Agency, in a recent interview with Xinhua, Azamat Seitov from Uzbekistan’s University of World Economy and Diplomacy praised the Chinese development model. He described it as a harmonious blend of socialism and market-driven principles, which has sustained China’s status as an economic powerhouse. “The Chinese model of progress is a unique combination of socialism and market principles, which allows China to remain an economic power,” Seitov stated.

Seitov also elaborated on China’s comprehensive achievements, which extend beyond economic expansion to advancements in social policy, infrastructure, and technology. He emphasized that China has crafted a development model that promotes both growth and stability, a feat particularly notable given the country’s vast population and the array of global challenges it faces.

“The two main ‘miracles’ are rapid economic growth and lasting stability, which are unique for a country with such a large population and in the face of global challenges,” he explained. Further discussing the international implications, Seitov remarked on the global impact of China’s approach, positioning it as an alternative to Western developmental strategies, particularly for developing nations.

Highlighting China’s role in global governance, Seitov commented on its multifaceted contributions, which include economic and financial influence, intellectual leadership, and the initiation of significant projects aimed at solving global issues, especially in Central Asia. “It includes not only economic and financial influence but also intellectual contributions, as well as the initiation of several major projects aimed at addressing many issues in the global community, particularly in Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan,” he added.
