ADDIS ABABA — UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Director General Gerd Müller and his delegation recently toured the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum, a significant cultural and historical site in Addis Ababa. The museum, inaugurated to commemorate Ethiopia's triumph over Italian forces in 1896, serves not only as a repository of the nation's past but also as an inspiration for future generations.

According Ethiopian News Agency, during his visit, Müller remarked on the museum's dual role in preserving history and fostering a spirit of collaboration among the youth. He noted the facility's potential as a prime venue for hosting international conferences, highlighting its significance beyond a memorial space.

The visit by the UNIDO Director General coincides with the attendance of leaders and ministers from various countries who were in the city for the 37th African Union Summit over the last weekend. The Adwa Victory Memorial, situated in the heart of Ethiopia's capital, stands as a testament to the country's historic victory against colonial aggression, symbolizing resistance and independence.
