Kampti: Internally displaced persons (IDPs) and members of vulnerable host populations in the commune of Kampti received dignity kits and essential medical assistance on December 17, 2025, thanks to the support of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), in partnership with the Burkina Faso Red Cross. In total, more than eighty beneficiaries were aided through this humanitarian action aimed at improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable groups affected by the security crisis.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the head of the Social and Humanitarian Action service in Kampti, Seydou Barro, stated that this initiative also serves as a call to promote mutual aid and solidarity within families and communities, which are essential values for social cohesion and harmonious development.
For the partner, represented by the Burkina Faso Red Cross, the opportunity was taken to express gratitude to the municipal authorities of Kampti and the UNHCR for their constant support for people in distress.
Speaking at the event, the president of the Special Delegation (PDS) of the Kampti commune, Massahiba Aime Soulama, expressed sincere gratitude to UNHCR and the Burkina Faso Red Cross for this donation benefiting internally displaced persons and vulnerable host communities. He also reminded partners of the importance of remaining committed to the Government's vision for humanitarian action.
The PDS praised the dynamism and commitment of the head of the Social and Humanitarian Action service for his constant efforts to support vulnerable people in the municipality. In conclusion, Massahiba Aime Soulama urged the people to promote endogenous values, including mutual aid, forgiveness, and love of neighbor, which are guarantees of unity and lasting social cohesion.
