Ouagadougou: Musician Uncle Chack’Om, known by his civil name Don Charles Combary, celebrated the official release of his second album in Fada N’Gourma on Saturday, March 22, 2025. The dedication event unfolded in a lively setting with the presence of enthusiastic fans, friends, and relatives.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the album, titled “‘O Plus Dei,” meaning “the work of God” in Latin, comprises 10 tracks focusing on themes such as trust in God, peace, and knowledge. This event also offered fans the chance to engage with Uncle Chack’Om to understand his transition from rap to gospel music.

Uncle Chack’Om explained to his fans that his transition was driven by his broad interests and a desire to embrace endeavors comprehensively. He emphasized his aspiration to contribute to God’s work, interpreting actions aligned with divine will as part of this mission.

Fans expressed appreciation for the album’s exploration of contemporary themes. The track “Peace” particularly resonated with listeners seeking harmony in their daily lives. Musician Goabri fils commended Uncle Chack’Om’s dedication, describing him as committed and suggesting future collaborations with other artists.

Don Charles Combary, also a writer, poet, and visual artist, began his musical journey in middle school during the late 1990s. His debut album “Hommage” paid tribute to God, influential individuals, and pivotal life events. The new album “O Plus Dei” is available on USB for 5,000 CFA francs.
