Rabat – UM6P Ventures, the investment entity of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), has announced a new investment in Chari, a Moroccan startup leading in B2B e-commerce for consumer goods in Morocco and Francophone Africa. This investment aims to foster financial inclusion and support the growth of entrepreneurial ecosystems.
According to Africa News Agency, Chari, founded by Ismael Belkhayat and Sophia Alj in 2018, has been transforming the distribution value chain through digitalization. The startup, which operates in Morocco, Tunisia, and Ivory Coast, connects retailers with suppliers of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) through its B2B e-commerce application. Chari is known for its broad product selection, competitive pricing, and rapid delivery services.
