UFOA-B tournament: Burkina beats Togo (1-0) and qualifies for the final

The junior Etalons of Burkina Faso beat in the semi-final on Monday at the Robert Champroux stadium in Marcory (Abidjan in Ivory Coast) the junior Eperviers of Togo by 1 goal to 0 and qualify for the final of the Union of West African Federations Zone B tournament. Halftime: 0-0.

The Burkinabè goal was scored by Abdoul Ouattara in the 85th minute of play, with a strike from the right. The U20 Stallions who were able to keep this goal until the end of the match are therefore qualified for the final which is to be played next Thursday.

Burkina Faso will play the final against the winner of the match of the 2 nd semi-final which pits Côte d’Ivoire against Benin this evening.

It was striker Abdoul Ouattara who was voted man of the match for this semi-final.

“We are satisfied with the performance of the children. It was the hard work that paid off tonight. We have managed to put together a homogeneous team where the players complement each other”, explained the coach of the Junior Stallions Brama Traoré.
