UFOA-B Champions U17 Stallions Honored by President of Faso


Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, officially received the U17 Stallions, the recent champions of the Union of West African Football Federations Zone B (UFOA-B) tournament, on Monday morning. During the meeting, the young team presented their trophy to the Head of State, marking a celebratory moment for Burkinabe football.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Oscar BARRO, the visit to the President was a testament to the mission-like approach the team took to the tournament, which culminated in their victory. The President of the Burkinabè Football Federation, Lazare BANSSE, praised Captain TRAORE for his continued support of the national football teams amidst national challenges, referring to him as “the first captain” of all national teams. The cadet Stallions’ captain, Badra BARRO, expressed the team’s gratitude for the support from the Burkinabè people throughout the tournament. This victory also secures the U17 Stallions’ spot in the upcoming African Cup of Nations (CAN) in their category, setting the stage for further achievements on the continental level.
