UAE and France Seek to Strengthen Parliamentary Cooperation

Abu dhabi: In a significant development aimed at bolstering bilateral relations, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, the Emirati Chairman of the Defence, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Hélène Conway Mouret, Vice President of the French Senate’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces Committee, in Abu Dhabi.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on reinforcing the robust ties between the UAE and France, with both parties discussing ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation. They highlighted the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering mutual understanding and coordination on global issues, particularly at international parliamentary events, which contribute to worldwide security and peace efforts.

The discussions also touched on the latest regional developments in the Middle East, emphasizing the UAE’s role in diplomatic, humanitarian, and relief efforts aimed at supporting crisis-affected Arab communities. Hélène Conway Mouret commen
ded the strategic partnership between the two nations, praising the UAE for its significant contributions to global challenges and acknowledging its achievements in development and urban growth. Nicolas Niemtchinow, the French Ambassador to the UAE, was also present at the meeting.
