Ouagadougou: Following the draw for the 2025 FIFA World Cup finals, Burkina Faso Cadet Etalons coach Oscar Barro deemed Group I, where his team is located, "playable."
According to Burkina Information Agency, Oscar Barro expressed confidence in his team's group placement, emphasizing that all teams qualifying for the World Cup have earned their spots. "It's a playable group. Among the teams that qualified for the World Cup, none of them reached this level by chance. Each one deserves to qualify," Barro stated after the draw, as reported by the Burkinabe Football Federation (FBF) on its Facebook page.
The Burkinabe coach highlighted that preparation will be the key to success. "The difference will be in the preparation. If we manage to have a good preparation, it's a team that is playable for me," he added. Barro has already devised a preparation plan which he intends to submit to the governing body for implementation.
In the recent group draw for the final phase of the Cadet World Cup, Burkina Faso was placed in Group I alongside the United States, Tajikistan, and the Czech Republic. The 2025 FIFA Youth World Cup, featuring 48 nations, is scheduled to take place from November 3 to 27, 2025, in Qatar.
