Typhoid Fever Vaccination Campaign Discussed with School Principals in Sindou

Sindou: The major of the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of Sindou, Moussa Traor©, engaged in discussions with school principals from the Basic Education District (CEB) of Sindou on Tuesday, January 22, 2025. The meeting, chaired by the head of the CEB, Emmanuel Sourabi©, focused on the progress of the vaccination campaign targeting primary schools.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting aimed to enhance the vaccination campaign against typhoid fever by facilitating access for primary school pupils. School principals were urged to secure their teachers' commitment to raise awareness among students. This strategy is intended to ensure the dissemination of information to parents and classmates, especially those not attending school.

The vaccination campaign targets children aged 9 months to 14 years inclusive. Participants in the meeting expressed appreciation for the strategy of vaccinating students under their care. Moussa Traor© requested that teachers actively participate in ensuring the success of the campaign.

Emmanuel Sourabi© emphasized the importance of each school contributing to the campaign's success within its constituency.
