Two Women Allegedly Raped in Oshikoto Over the Weekend

Oshikoto: Two women aged 30 and 70 were allegedly raped in separate incidents in the Oshikoto Region over the weekend.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Head of the Namibian Police Force's Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, reported that the 70-year-old woman was allegedly raped at Onakankuzi-east village in the Omuthiya Constituency. The incident occurred between 07h00 and 12h00 on Friday. Shikwambi stated that the suspect has not yet been arrested.

In another incident, the Okatope police arrested a 35-year-old Angolan national for allegedly raping a mentally challenged 30-year-old woman on Friday. 'The incident occurred while the woman was attending a wedding,' stated Shikwambi. Police investigations in both matters continue.
