Tuy: The High Commissioner of the province of Tuy, Issiaka Segda, chaired an advocacy meeting in Houndé, ahead of the polio vaccination campaign scheduled from November 15 to 18, 2024, within his territorial jurisdiction.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the second round of the polio vaccination campaign will target 95,214 children aged 0 to 59 months. The campaign will not only focus on polio vaccination but will also include vitamin A supplementation and malnutrition screening for children aged 6 to 59 months, alongside deworming for those aged 12 to 59 months.
The head of prevention through vaccinations of the Houndé health district, Bamory Dao, stated that the vaccination effort will be carried out in public health facilities and through door-to-door visits. Vaccinators will also visit daycare centers, nursery schools, places of worship, markets, and gold mining sites to ensure comprehensive coverage.
