Tuy High Commissioner Urges Support for Health Workers to Enhance Quality Care.

Tuy: The High Commissioner of Tuy, Issiaka Segda, has called upon the province’s vital forces to extend their support to health workers, aiming to ensure quality healthcare for the population. This appeal was made on Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) in Houndé.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Segda emphasized the importance of both citizen and community monitoring in promoting public health. He urged the vital forces to stand by the population to help them achieve optimal health. This statement was made during the conclusion of a national flag-raising ceremony held at the CMA in Houndé.

The High Commissioner expressed his appreciation for the health personnel’s ongoing efforts to provide quality care and called on the vital forces to continue supporting this mission. He highlighted the need to eliminate negative practices such as poor patient reception, discrimination based on ethnicity or social status, and unavailability of services.

Furthermore, Mr. Se
gda appealed to health workers to treat all service users equally and urged the community to discard the vices of treachery, incompetence, and cowardice. Meanwhile, Youssouf Ouédraogo, the chief physician of the Houndé health district, encouraged health personnel to maintain their current momentum and unity to overcome challenges.

The upcoming national flag-raising ceremony is scheduled for Monday, January 6, 2025, at the public primary school ‘A’ in Houndé.
