Tuy Cooperative Society Trains Members on Health and Environmental Topics

Hound©: On the occasion of the delayed celebration of World Health Day in Hound©, the Simplified Cooperative Society (SCOOPS) "Green Circle" organized a training session for its members and supporters, focusing on health and environmental topics.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event aimed at equipping participants with knowledge on key health and environmental issues. SCOOPS 'Green Circle' President Ardjouma Sanou emphasized that the training was designed to enhance the participants' understanding of the interconnectedness between health and a healthy environment.

Participants attended two presentations during the session. The first, conducted by midwife Teby Danitza Coulibaly, was centered on 'Good health at birth for a future full of hope.' This presentation highlighted the importance of monitoring the health of pregnant women, maintaining hygiene, and the need for prenatal consultations.

The second presentation was delivered by Yves Ghislain Sanou, a senior environmental technician, who discussed Law No. 045-2024/ALT regarding the management of plastic packaging and bags. He explained the significant articles and innovations introduced by this law.

In addition to the presentations, "Cercle Vert" donated hygiene products such as soaps, detergents, soapy water, and ecological bags to the Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA) in Hound©. This contribution was aimed at improving hygiene conditions for patients, as stated by President Sanou.

Ardjouma Sanou expressed satisfaction with the event's success and the active participation of attendees. SCOOPS 'Green Circle' remains dedicated to environmental protection and is involved in initiatives like the creation of school fields, nutritious gardens, and the preservation of green spaces.
