Tunisia will continue taking appropriate steps to protect all foreign nationals without exception, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Nabil Ammar Wednesday told Ivory Coast FM Kandia Kamissoko Camara in a phone call.
Ivorian residents are welcome in Tunisia as well as Ivorian nationals coming for studies, tourism, business or healthcare purposes, Ammar was quoted as saying in a Foreign Ministry press release.
The minister reassured Kandia Kamissoko Camara about the situation of the Ivorian community in Tunisia and reiterated readiness to cooperate with Ivory Coast to ease the return home of undocumented migrants in full respect of their dignity and rights and in compliance with the law..
Means to scale up long-standing cooperation also took centre stage.
