PENNSYLVANIA — Former President Donald Trump credited divine intervention for his survival following an assassination attempt at a campaign event in Pennsylvania, expressing his gratitude and reaffirming his resolve in the face of adversity.

According to Burkina Information Agency, he expressed deep thanks for the support and prayers he received, stating, “only God prevented the unthinkable from happening.” Trump emphasized the importance of unity and resilience, urging Americans to stand together against evil without succumbing to fear.

The incident occurred just minutes into his address when gunfire erupted, leading to Trump’s emergency evacuation with visible injuries. The altercation resulted in the deaths of the shooter and one attendee, while two other spectators sustained serious injuries, all of whom were adult men, as reported by local police.

In his posts, Trump also declared his love for the country and its people, looking ahead to his scheduled speech in Milwaukee at the Republican convention.
