Tragic Road Accident in Narok Claims Two Lives, Injures Seven

NAROK, Kenya — A severe road accident on the Mai Mahiu-Narok Road near Ole Tipis Girls Secondary School in Narok resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to seven others. The incident involved a collision between an excavator and a matatu, both of which were traveling toward Narok town from Mai Mahiu.

According to Kenya News Agency, John Momanyi, the crash occurred under challenging conditions. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the others were rushed to Cottage Hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, one of the injured succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical care.

Commandant Momanyi emphasized the dangers of reckless driving, particularly during the rainy season, and urged drivers to adhere strictly to road safety regulations to prevent further tragedies. The bodies of the deceased have been moved to Narok County Referral morgue, and the involved vehicles were towed to Narok Police Station yard for further inspection.
