Tragic Road Accident in Mahahe Results in One Fatality, Three Injured

MAHAHE — A vehicle accident in Mahahe village, Kavango West Region, resulted in one death and three injuries early Tuesday morning.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the accident was reported in the regional police’s daily crime report released Wednesday. The incident involved a vehicle that overturned while trying to evade cattle on the road. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which was en route from Katima Mulilo to Windhoek, leading to the tragic accident at Mahahe village.

A culpable homicide case has been opened at the Mururani Police Station following the incident. The deceased has been identified as Muhako Kakove, with his next of kin already notified. The three injured parties were transported to Rundu State Hospital for treatment. Police investigations are ongoing as they continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
