KAVANGO WEST — A two-year-old boy, identified as Stanisius Muhanga, tragically died in a hut fire in Sivaradi village, Kavango West Region, on Wednesday evening.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the Namibian Police Force reported that the incident occurred around 20:00 at the village. It is alleged that the young victim was with two other boys, both aged six, who managed to escape the fire unharmed. The police suggested that the fire started while the children attempted to cook in the absence of their parents.

The remains of Stanisius Muhanga were transported to the Rundu State Hospital mortuary following the incident. The community and family have been notified, and the police are likely to continue their investigation into the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
