Traffic Collision at Kombissiri Entrance Claims Three Lives, Including a Child

Kombissiri – A tragic traffic accident at the entrance of Kombissiri on the night of February 25 to 26, 2024, resulted in three fatalities, including a child, and left several individuals seriously injured. The incident occurred near the village of Koupel-Yargo on the Ouagadougou-Pô axis, involving a mini bus and a motorcycle.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the accident took place around 7 p.m. when a mini bus, commonly referred to as ‘Dina,’ which was en route to Manga, overturned on the roadway after colliding with a motorcycle traveling in the opposite direction towards Ouagadougou. The precise cause of the collision remains unclear, but the devastating outcome was immediate, with three people pronounced dead at the scene, one of whom was a child aged just three years.

Emergency responders rushed the severely injured to the Kombissiri medical center using ambulances and other available vehicles. In the aftermath, security services were promptly deployed to the accident site to manage the traffic and prevent further incidents.

This tragic event underscores the ongoing risks present on the roadways and has prompted calls for increased vigilance and safety measures to prevent similar accidents in the future.
