Tour du Faso 2024: Second Stage Kicks Off in Koupéla

KOUPÉLA: The governor of the Center-East region, Aboudou Karim Lamizana, initiated the second stage of the 35th edition of the Tour international du Faso in Koupéla, marking the beginning of the 120.600 km race to Ziniaré.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the event commenced at approximately 8:40 a.m. with around sixty cyclists departing from the starting line in the town of Koupéla. The High Commissioner of the Kourittenga province, Moctar Ilboudo, expressed his satisfaction with Koupéla being chosen to host the starting signal ceremony for this stage of the Tour du Faso.

Ilboudo noted that the town had previously welcomed the caravan of the 35th edition as it traversed the province to Tenkodogo for the first stage. He highlighted the significant turnout of the Koupéla-Kourittenga population, who gathered in large numbers to support the event and warmly welcome the participants. Ilboudo extended his gratitude for the community’s support for governmental activities and wished a successful continua
tion of the Tour du Faso for all cyclists and involved parties.
