Tougo Primary School Students Donate to Fight Terrorism

TOUGO — Primary school students from the commune of Tougo in the province of Zondoma have contributed 371,600 CFA francs to the local authorities’ efforts against terrorism.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was made on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the town hall of Tougo. Students from both traditional and Franco-Arab schools within the Basic Education District of Tougo pooled funds, typically allocated for their snacks, to support the Volunteer Defense Force and Security Forces engaged in local security operations. The ceremony included local dignitaries such as the head of the basic education district and the Naaba Bouli of Tougo. The Prefect, President of the Special Delegation of Tougo, Souley Boureima, received the donation from student Abdoul Guelilou Belèm and highlighted the significance of the children’s participation in these community efforts.
