Tougan Trader Ibrahim Zina Makes Significant Donation to Faso Mªbo on Behalf of Burkina Faso’s President

Sourou: A merchant makes a donation to Faso Mªbo, on behalf of the President of Burkina Faso. Tougan trader Ibrahim Zina made a donation to Faso Mªbo on Monday, December 29, 2025, on behalf of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, the Governor of the Bankui and Sourou regions, Babo Pierre Bassinga, the Minister in charge of Trade, Gnaniodem Serge Poda, and in his own name.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donor, known as "Bra Zina," offered 20 tons of cement, dividing the contribution with 5 tons each on behalf of the President of Faso, the Governor of the Bankui and Sourou regions, the Minister in charge of Trade, and 5 tons in his own name.

In addition to the cement donation, Mr. Zina provided a voucher for 1,000 liters of diesel fuel and committed to making three boreholes available to Faso Mªbo during the project's launch in Tougan, the capital of the new Sourou region.

Mr. Zina stated that the donation was a gesture of gratitude towards the country's authorities for their efforts in securing various localities in Burkina Faso. He emphasized that the donation, though symbolic, was a reflection of his pride and support for the authorities, including the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©.

The donation was made following the Sourou Traders' Festival, during which the governor of the Bankui and Sourou regions praised the Traders' Association for their initiative.
