Tougan Special Delegation Unveils 86 Million CFA Francs Investment Achievements

Sourou: The special delegation of the commune of Tougan held an accountability day, chaired by Ouigou Tiendreb©ogo, in the meeting room of CELPAC. The event was attended by the High Commissioner of Sourou Province, D©sir© Badolo, as well as administrative and customary authorities and several development partners.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the special delegation presented the investment achievements for the year 2025 and outlined future plans for 2026. The 2025 investments included renovations at the CMA morgue in Tougan, completion of three classrooms, and acquisition of computer and protective equipment for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP). Other projects involved constructing and rehabilitating latrines, renovating an administrative building, and rehabilitating gardens, with a total investment of 86,287,690 CFA francs.

The delegation also provided food supplies worth 4,900,000 CFA francs from its funds for the VDP's benefit. Looking ahead to 2026, plans include optimizing market shop occupancy, developing and leasing green spaces, and identifying sites for new commercial investments to boost local revenue.

Adama Zala, a participant, expressed satisfaction with the achievements despite security challenges in the province. He emphasized the importance of tax compliance for the municipality's development and pledged to raise awareness among residents.

High Commissioner D©sir© Badolo commended the discussions and citizen engagement during the accountability day. He urged the community to support municipal initiatives, enhance social cohesion, and participate actively in local revenue generation.
