Tougan Residents Clean Up to Combat Insecurity


Tougan – On Saturday, June 8, 2024, the community of Tougan, the capital of Sourou province in the Boucle du Mouhoun region, undertook a significant cleanup of the surroundings of National Road No. 21 Tougan-Toma.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative aimed to enhance security along the vital roadway. The cleanup was a community-wide effort, with participation from all age groups using various tools. The high commissioner and other officials led the operation, emphasizing the community’s role in ensuring their own security. Désiré Badolo, the leader of the province, praised the community’s efforts and called for ongoing commitment to such activities to maintain safety.
