Pyongyang: Kim Jong Un, top leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), visited a major munition enterprise on Sunday to learn about the production of weapons and combat equipment, the official Korean Central News Agency reported Tuesday.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Kim learned about the production of multiple rocket launchers to be equipped by major units of the Korean People’s Army. The report highlighted that the multiple rocket system will be the main strike means of the DPRK military force, suggesting it would completely change the composition of the artillery force.

Kim was quoted as emphasizing the need to further expand the successes achieved this year and to aim for greater achievements in bolstering defense capabilities by 2026. The report stressed the importance of these developments in strengthening the country’s military forces.
