Nayala: The High Commissioner of the Nayala Province, Honor© Fr©d©ric Par©, has inaugurated the second edition of the inter-sector tournament in Toma. Organized by the Elites of Saint-Louis, this event is aimed at promoting social cohesion and fostering a spirit of togetherness among the community.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament is themed "Sport, a factor of social cohesion and resilience" and will feature participants from the eight sectors of Toma over a period of three months. The High Commissioner urged participants to use this opportunity to strengthen community ties, promote solidarity, and identify young talents, while also emphasizing the importance of fair play throughout the competition.
Rodrigues Bienvenue To©, president of the Saint-Louis Elites, expressed gratitude for the support from both administrative authorities and sponsors. He shared hopes for the tournament to unfold in a spirit of fraternity. On behalf of the sponsors, Blaise To© reiterated their commitment to backing youth initiatives.
The tournament commenced with an opening match where the defending champions, Sector 4, faced off against Sector 7 (Guialan). Sector 7 claimed victory with a 4-1 scoreline. Matches are scheduled to take place every weekend, leading up to the final on August 14, 2026.
