Tokyo: Burkinabe triple jumper Hugues Fabrice Zango finished 7th in the triple jump final at the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships with a leap of 16.92 m, according to the Burkinabe Ministry of Sports.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Zango was unable to defend his title in Tokyo. He finished 7th in the competition with a jump of 16.92 m. This performance was the last achieved by the Burkinabe athlete, who consequently retired after these world championships, according to the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Employment.
The Department of Sports congratulated Dr. Hugues Fabrice Zango "for having carried the colors of Burkina Faso high throughout your career."
