Ouagadougou: The Toe family made its contribution to the construction of Burkina Faso on Wednesday by donating three tons of cement to the presidential initiative 'Faso Mebo' in Ouagadougou. The symbolic handover took place this Wednesday morning at the "Faso Mebo" site, located at the Philippe Zinda Kabore high school.
According to Burkina Information Agency, family spokesperson Rodrigue Toe stated that this donation was made to contribute to the building of Burkina Faso. He specified that this gesture of solidarity was made possible thanks to his personal contribution, that of his wife, his children, as well as that of his sister residing in the United States.
"My sister, who lives in the United States and is passing through Burkina Faso, also wanted to contribute to urge Burkinabe abroad to follow in her footsteps," he explained. Mr. Toe also indicated that his children participated individually, one with 500 FCFA and the other with 1,000 FCFA.
He considered the "Faso Mebo" initiative commendable, as it contributes to giving a new face to the various cities of Burkina. The donor finally launched an appeal to Burkinabe citizens at home and abroad to spare no effort in supporting this presidential initiative for the country's development.
