Loroum: Titao students visit the mausoleum of Naaba Sougr©: On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, students from Titao engaged in an immersive experience at the mausoleum of Naaba Sougr©, the founder of their city. This visit is part of a broader initiative during Heritage Month, aimed at fostering a deeper connection with African cultural values and traditions.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Cultural Heritage Month in Burkina Faso, running from April 18 to May 18, 2025, seeks to strengthen the bond between the Burkinabe people and their traditional values. It also aims to introduce the country’s rich heritage to its citizens. As part of the celebrations, Captain Djibril Bassol©, the High Commissioner of Loroum Province, extended an invitation on May 5, 2025, encouraging residents to explore Loroum’s cultural landmarks.



Beyond the Naaba Sougr© site, the provincial directorate of culture also visited local restaurants, offering guidance to those involved in the cultural sector. This initiative is part of a broader program designed to help Titao residents connect with their local history through various monuments.



Chief Naaba Wandga of Titao, who served as the guide for the day, expressed support for the government’s initiative. He emphasized its significance in sharing the history of Titao, its founders, and the cultural norms of the area with younger generations. The students enjoyed the experience, appreciating the opportunity to engage with their city’s history alongside their teachers.
