Titao Receives Presidential Emissaries Amid National Reconquest Efforts

TITAO — On Friday, Dr. Aboubacar Nacanabo, Minister of Economy and Finance, and Dr. Aboubacar Savadogo, Minister in charge of Secondary Education, visited Titao to support the community’s resilience efforts and to address their current concerns amid ongoing national security challenges.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the ministers began their day with a courtesy visit to the head of Titao and held discussions with members of the local government bodies and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). The dialogue continued at the Titao city hall, where the ministers met with various community representatives. Chief Naaba Wadga of Titao highlighted the community’s security needs and infrastructure projects, including enhancements to local defenses and improvements to the Titao-Ouahigouya road.



Oumarou Dialla, the 2nd vice-president of the special delegation of Titao, emphasized the critical issues facing the area: security and access to basic necessities. He expressed hopes for governmental intervention to secure and develop the region further, particularly concerning health and educational services. In response, Dr. Savadogo assured support for community teachers and discussed plans to address these issues directly with the President of Faso.



The ministers commended the resilience of the Titao community against daily threats from armed groups and pledged to relay their specific concerns, including the establishment of a Rapid Intervention Brigade and the frequent monitoring of critical roadways, to the President for further action.
