Ouahigouya – On Monday, November 6, 2023, the special delegation of the commune of Titao provided significant support to the Volunteers for Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of the municipality. The donation included 24 bags of 50 kg rice, 5 bags of 100 kg beans, and 8 cans of 20 liters of oil, and was formally handed over in a ceremony at the town hall.

According to Burkina Information Agency, The delivery, attended by the head of the detachment, members of the municipal team, and VDP managers, was warmly received by the local fighters. The VDP representative acknowledged the donation as a morale booster for those engaged in combat with enemies. The head of the Titao detachment noted that this contribution would play a crucial role in improving the living conditions of the VDP members.

Oumarou Dialla, the 2nd vice-president of the special delegation, urged the security volunteers to efficiently manage these supplies. The VDP, consisting of volunteers who have joined forces with fighting forces, has been instrumental in combating armed group abuses in the area. Their collaboration with defense and security forces has significantly improved security in the town of Titao.
