Ouagadougou — The Canadian government has officially appointed Tina Guthrie as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Burkina Faso, establishing her residence in Ouagadougou. The announcement was made public on Wednesday.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ms. Guthrie brings extensive diplomatic experience to her new role, having previously served as Head of Cooperation at the Canadian Embassy in Haiti. Her appointment is expected to strengthen the ties between Canada and Burkina Faso, enhancing diplomatic and cooperative engagements.
