MEKELLE, Tigray - The Tigray Region Interim Administration has announced its commitment to the successful implementation of Ethiopia's national Green Legacy Initiative, with a significant mobilization for a massive tree planting event. Interim Chief Administrator Getachew Reda led the region's efforts, which are part of a nationwide endeavor to plant 600 million saplings in a single day.
According to Ethiopian News Agency, the initiative saw enthusiastic participation across the Tigray region, particularly in the Enderta district, where regional leaders, government officials, and citizens came together to plant saplings overnight.
