Bloemfontein Flying Squad members arrest the most wanted suspects involved in a house robbery.

On Thursday 13 July 2023 at about 08:00, Bloemfontein Flying Squad members received intelligence-driven information about a wanted, armed and dangerous male involved in a house robbery incident that took place in the area of Kopanong early in July 2023.

The members followed the information and a 25-year-old suspect was found and arrested at a house in the Bloemspruit area but was whisked away to his house in the Pieterswartz section to be searched. Further information took members to Phase 4, where two more houses were searched and two suspects aged 25 were swiftly arrested after they were found with three unlicensed firearms. A norinco firearm and 2x 9mm barrettas with 34 x 9mm pieces of ammunition and 1 x 7.65mm round of ammunition.

The suspects were detained and are to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate Court soon on house robbery charges and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The three firearms will be taken for ballistics to verify if they were not used in the commission of a crime anywhere in the country as well.
